Yesterday, our local museum was having its annual
flower and art show - as always, a fabulous time. This year, Mommy gave the Bean a first lesson in art appreciation - and yes, Bean, in visual art, it does rather help to be able to see it. (Still, you couldn't ask for a better teacher!)
Later, with borrowed tools from the mother of one of M.'s students, we had a cultural lesson of a more hands-on nature, learning to make pysanky, or Ukranian Easter Eggs.

Mommy even managed to wrest the camera away from me for a few minutes.
Dear Bean, you will realize, as you grow, that your Mommy and your Mummy love you very much, but they are just a teensy bit strange. Perhaps, many years ago, you will come across the phrase "as seen through a glass, darkly", and you may remember being exposed to art, through mommy's tummy. But listen up, kid, when they play you good music, or read you good stories. Two out of three ain't bad!
ReplyDelete(oh, btw... the Ukrainian eggs... gorgeous... but what you're gonna love someday soon, is EATING Easter eggs!) (( and hold out for Cadbury's... Mummy may fight you for those!))
when do we get to see the finished eggs?? :)
