But I COOK Armenian...

(Thank you to Kelly for the post title...)

Teaching Asa to make stuffed cabbage leaves.  He's going to be a really good cook, once we let him near knives and hot cooking surfaces.

 Take the leaf and spread it out...


Add the stuffing.



Press and roll.


Set in the pan and bake.

Which is great, until Mummy lets them burn a little.  It's probably just as well that we're training my replacement as chef.

  1. Asa, can you tell me how to do it? What did you put in the filling? Do you bake them in a sauce, or just plain? Cousin Louise, who was married to a Ukrainian, taught me to mix ground beef, chopped onion and rice for the filling, and to bake the cabbage rolls in a tomato sauce.
    I think they would be yummy in a lemony cream sauce, don't you?
