Strollin' With My Baby

It started well... Asa decided to take one of his dolls (actually my old Cabbage Patch Kid, who fits in the stroller better than his beloved Bébé) on our afternoon walk.

But doll strollers aren't good at off-roading.

So that's about as far as we got before the poor doll was abandoned to Mummy's care.  Which involved Mummy slinging the entire stroller - doll and all - over her shoulder as she ran after her speedy toddler.

Not to mention, of course, that Asa requested to be carried home.  Why do I fall for stuff like this?

  1. We all did... And then comes the tricycle...
sounded like a very well known scenario (by the way it does not stop... At 10 Milena is still bringing "stuff" along, and who ends up carrying it? I'm sure you can figure out the answer..)

  2. for the same reasons we all do! Your seester and your cousin Jason were older and bigger when a group of us had gathered on Charleston Beach for a cookout... the kids were getting restless, and night was falling. I said "hey, J's, let's go back to the house and get some cocoa started for this whole gang!" They walked with me maybe 30 yards, then started collective whining. My then 98lb. self picked them up, one on each hip, trudged through sand, up the beach, onto the road, onto the grass... said "ya wanna walk now?" and they said, in unison, "we're so tired!"
By the time the other adults gathered, I wanted to throw the cocoa at them!
