Playing quietly by himself. Although, Uncle Paul, I don't think he'd object to the company of someone who loves that toy as much as he does...

The Season Begins!
And a moment of reflection - from last year:
...to this:
He loves the little Steelers football, but would only hold it and pose when the camera was safely in the other room. That's okay: we have an entire season ahead of us.

Trying to Catch Him on Video
Well, I did the best I could. Usually, when the camera comes out, he focuses more on it than on what he's doing... You'd think he'd be used to the camera by now, but apparently not. So this is more a representation of what he could do about a week or ten days ago, but it's what I've got for you. (yes, sideways again. sorry.)
In other news, we have a third tooth (top left, from Asa's point of view), and possibly a fourth, although glimpses into his mouth are few and far between. These two teeth have been so much worse than the first two - any magic remedies for digestive upset and wicked diaper rash would be quite welcome. As would any volunteers for the midnight-to-six shift. Anyone? Please?

September brings changes
For those of you who might have been wondering at the dearth of posts recently, I present to you exhibit A: the great climbing boy.
I was folding clothes in his room - while I folded a sheet, he took advantage of my distraction to get up into the rocking chair with a book. Seriously - it took about 15 seconds, and he was sitting there, happy as a clam, perusing a Sandra Boynton book.
Which brings us to exhibit B: helpful boy. In this case, with the laundry.
And "sorting" his shoes.
Finally, the closest I could get to a picture of exhibit C:
Walking boy.
This might just be a long month.

Sharing Food
Asa likes food. A lot. And he often insists that we share what we're eating. Whether we want to...
...Or not.
If you come over for lunch ever, a word to the wise: don't hold your plum in one hand while you eat your sandwich with the other.
