Here We Go Steelers!

Happy beginning of the NFL season!
Thank you, Great-Aunt Becke and Great-Uncle Paul for the fan gear!
Pre-game cuddle...
GO STEELERS!!
(In other news, we've been having computer trouble, so the posts might not come frequently over the next few days.  Bloody Vista.)

Ah, the Admirers!

You know it's love when the offer to pick the baby up off the floor is refused, and the grown-ups are willing to lie down on hardwood.  Even the cat was impressed.
Eventually, Asa decided that tummy time was over, and that snuggling with Auntie Becke would be much more fun.  He is becoming a ham, however.  "Did I hear a camera?"
The timing couldn't have been much better - Asa was actually awake for a good portion of their all-too-short visit.  And if you think he's a heart-stealer when he's sound asleep, you should see what he can do when he looks you in the eye!

Great Aunt

I didn't take nearly enough pics during the visit, but Asa seemed to enjoy meeting his great-aunt!

Tummy Time

As you can possibly tell, this is not generally an unpopular time of day. Asa kicks his feet, tries to roll up on his side, and lifts his head long enough to turn it the other way - especially if Mummy is on one side and Mommy is on the other, and we're both talking to him.

Uncle visit

From Asa:

Two of my uncles came to visit me today. Mommy and Mummy explained how sometimes people are family because they're related, and sometimes they're family because there's just so much love there. Uncle Jeremie and Uncle James are the second kind.

Both my moms were impressed at how easily the uncles held me, and how good they were at it. I just like being snuggled.

Luna had to get in on the snuggling, of course, but I'm pretty used to it. She does that a lot. And I don't mind sharing the spotlight... for now.
Hi, Uncle James! Watch out - in a few months, I'll be reaching for both your beard and your glasses!

Hi, Uncle Jeremie! Mommy and Mummy said you make the best chicken wings EVER. When I get teeth, will you make them for me? Pleeeeease?

Yay for uncles!

Block Island!

Sixteen days old - first trip on the ferry!

Inauguration into the work of sitting on the porch, ensuring the tide goes in and out.

Lots of Grampa time...

...and meeting Beth! (sorry about the spit-up.)

Grampa even jury-rigged a clothesline for the cloth diapers and other detritus of babyhood.
Dozing with Mummy. Turns out this position is the best for getting a little boy to sleep. Not bad for Mum, either.

The slightly cooler evening air let us bring out the cute sweatshirts... the ones we hadn't thought we'd put him in for a while to come! Size: 3 Months!

Beach walk in the sling with Mommy.

Family portrait on Cormorant Point.

Kissable Baby

So really, this is a placeholder until I can download the pictures from the past couple of days, but it's still soooo cute. We'll ignore for the moment that this is his passing-gas face. Who wouldn't kiss a baby like this?
